Your value is not determined by the gifts you receive

Sometimes our identity gets tied to what we get FROM God instead of the relationship that is formed from our time WITH God.

When we make our relationship with God about the gifts we receive from Him, we reduce God to a genie in a bottle. Living from this place feeds into our selfish nature and cuts off the redemptive purpose of pain.
